Postsecondary students in health sciences programs in Nova Scotia can now apply for three $1,500 scholarships from Réseau Santé for the 2022–2023 school year.
Launched in 2022, the following scholarships are available:
• One $1,500 scholarship for a student enrolled in a health sciences program at Université Sainte-Anne
• Two $1,500 scholarships for francophone students enrolled in a health sciences program in the province’s English-language postsecondary institutions
Interested students can go to reseausantene.ca/scholarships to learn more about the terms and conditions and submit their applications. Applications must be received by February 28, 2023, at the latest.
The scholarships are offered by Réseau Santé – Nouvelle-Écosse with support from the Office of Acadian Affairs and Francophonie and seek to support francophone students in health programs in their academic careers.
“We are pleased to be able to provide financial support to future francophone health care professionals once again this year,” said Blair Boudreau, president of Réseau Santé. “These scholarships will help recognize the contributions this new generation of francophones make to the health care system.”
“Improving health care is our government’s top priority, and it’s so important that Acadian and francophone communities have access to health services in French,” said Colton LeBlanc, Minister of Acadian Affairs and Francophonie. “The first year of the bursary program was a great success, and I am proud to work with Réseau Santé – Nouvelle-Écosse to help more students in health and medical fields develop the skills they need to serve our communities.”
Scholarship recipients will be announced in June 2023.
